Daily Sand Dune Trip to Inland Sea

Salam & Good Day,

A plan has been made to have a daily trip to Inland Sea. The details are as follows:
Dates: 02/05/08 & 03/05/08 (separate trip, not overnite)
Gathering point: Sealine Beach Resort roundabout, Mesaieed.
Gathering time: 0700 hrs.
Departure time: 0730 hrs after Reducing tyre pressure, safety briefing and Doa'.
Fees: only your full fuel tank and your guts.

During the course of the trip, all participants will break for Jumaat prayer (in Malaysia language, 02/05/08), breakfast, lunch and relax along the cold beach with windy, natural air to breath. All participants will bring their own meals.

The Marshalls of the trip: Dr. Azhar TLC, Issyam NXT, Fatah Al-Patroli, Yazid Al-Explorer, Khairil Dukhar-Rally.

Items to do/bring:

1. Full tank of petrol

2. Sand Duning tools - Spare tyre + jack tool kit, heavy duty Air Compressor, direct cable to car battery, tyre pressure gauge , tow strap – heavy duty (if any), jumper cable

3. Communication equipment – walkie talkie, amateur radio (if any),GPS (optional)

4. Solat accessories - Tikar/prayer mats (for Moslem)

5. Dry foods/meals, titbits, drinks (including snacks to chew during journey). Plain water for washing, wuduk purposes.

6. Food accessories – plates, cups, BBQ set, garbage bin liners

7. Footware - Extra clothes, Sport & bathing accessories, spectacles (no contact lense during sandstorm) , sun glasses, cap/topi and sunscreen lotion.

8. Camping accessories - Tent/s, chair/s (Carrefour sells readily foldable tents).

9. Safety kit - First Aid kit, emergency/medical kits, torchlights, beacon lights.

10. Fun kit Paper board



Participants do not necessarily have to own/bring all the Sanduning/Communica tion/Safety kits tools above as they are all available with the Marshalls.

For those without a 4WD but would like to join this trip, there are Landcruisers available for rent. Kindly contact Mr. Issyam at 5865782. Please be hurry as rental units are limited.


As this will be the final trip before summer, please kindly disseminate this info to all Malaysians in Qatar.

Alhamdulillah berkat doa dan usaha penganjur dan geng2 semua kita semua aktiviti sand dune kali ini seperti yg dulu2 berjalan dengan lancar.

Saya dan mengambil kesempatan ini utk mengucapkan ribuan terima-kasih pada Dr. Azhar yang telah menumpangkan kami sekeluarga di dalam the legendary TLC. Satu pengalaman baru yang amat berharga. Juga ribuan terima-kasih pada En. Issyam dan rakan2 marshall/penganjur. Juga ucapan terima-kasih kepada rakan2 lain yang turut serta dalam aktiviti sand dune kali ini. Dear 14 cars/participants,

On behalf of organizing committee, we would like to thank all of you for joining us in the trip to the Inland Sea. Your profound courage are truly envied despite the sand storm/foggy weather condition when we arrived at the Sealine Beach resort yesterday. As predicted, the weather condition in Doha/Dukhan/ Mesaieed did not reflect the actual weather condition in Inland Sea and Alhamdulillah, as we drove into the Inland Sea, the weather condition improved significantly and we were abled to perform Solat, relax, eat and play freely along the beach facing the Saudi border (strong wind but no sands blowing).

The ongoing trip was fun and exciting (strong teamwork spirit shown) even though you guys had to push 5 cars out of the sand. But, the incoming-back trip was more fun when several of you guys took turns taking corners at the slope of the hills and went up and down of hills.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Azhar for his initial brilliant idea of organizing this trip, Issyam (your technical expertise helped all of us overcame the obstacles yesterday), all the marshalls (Yazid, Fatah) and all participants for making this trip an enjoyable and memorable one. Alhamdulillah, syukur as the trip went well safely for everyone.

Looking forward to have all of you again in future trips, insya-Allah.
