Looking for schools in Doha

Assalamualaikum semua sedara2 kita kat Qatar ni, ambo nak tanya sikit pasal sekolah di Doha ni sebab ambo baru je seminggu lebih sampai sini...Anak ambo umur 10 and 8 thn (akan datang dlm masa terdekat ni). Pasal rumah tu ambo berminat nak sewa somewhere around Al-Kharaitiyat Street area (parallel to Al-Shamal North Road not very far from Landmarks Shopping Centre) which is quite close to my office area in Lusail/West Bay area.

May be ada kawan2 kita yg ada hantar anak sekolah around this area?..kalau tengok map i can see there are 2 nearby schools named Gulf English School and Compass International School....i also understand that there are malaysians sending their children to Compass International School?...so kalau ada sapa2 hantar nak kat situ, ambo nak minta sedikit info. particularly on placement availability, schooling fees, schooling terms, transportation etc...ataupun mungkin ada cadangan sekolah lain yang lebih sesuai?

looking for school in Doha mmg besar challengenye....masa saya sampai dulu (end of june 08), i got difficulty finding schools for my boys....i searched & telefon most of the school, hantar borang to 5-6 schools, all full....tapi diorg masih accept borang...after 2 weeks sekolah dah start..baru dapat letter of offer for our children...

Compass is very pricey..the tuition fee is about QR51K++ per year for Year 1 & Year 2..mahal kan.....tak masuk transportation fees and etc.

Newton is slightly cheaper...40K je kot..i pun dah tak berapa ingat...

ASD (American Sch of Doha)...39K...full!!! our children are still on waiting list for this school.

last2, i masukkan the boys to our company school @ Al-Khor,

my point is..keep on searching ..jgn putus asa...yg penting, kena rajin sikitlah..check dlm website, telefon sekolah pastu melawat sekolah2 berkenaan..

kalau u nak list of school kat doha...i can pass to u...PM ur email address..

Thanks DHL for your info...it is very helpful...so far i dapat lowest dlm range 35k at Gulf English School...itu pun belum confirm lg ada tempat ke tak coz tak sempat nak pegi survey lg...Nak tanya school @ Al-Khor tu berapa? and is it open tu anybody? Al-khor tu dekat2 Losail Circuit tu ke?...my email hasmand@hotmail.com. Thank you for your help bro.

Al Khor tu company nyer sekolah...kalau u employee of RasGas or Qatargas, insyaalllah they will slot u in....sekolah tu tak open kat org lain....Al Khor Sch @ Al Khor community housing area.
