Program Menggalakkan Warganegara Malaysia yang Bekerja di Luar Negara Pulang ke Malaysia
Pengenalan
Program ini berkuatkuasa mulai dari 1 Januari 2001. Selepas melaksanakan Program ini selama enam (6) bulan, Kerajaan memutuskan untuk meminda beberapa syarat di bawah Program ini bagi memastikan kualiti kepakaran yang diluluskan pulang ke Malaysia adalah selaras dengan keperluan negara dalam bidang-bidang kepakaran yang dikenalpasti. Pemohon dengan ini adalah dinasihatkan untuk menyemak Garis Panduan (Pindaan 1 Julai 2001) sebelum mengemukakan permohonan.

Program to Encourage Malaysian Citizens with Expertise Residing Overseas to Return to Malaysia
Introduction
This programme takes effect from 1 January 2001. After implementing the programme for six (6) months, the Government has decided to revise several conditions under the programme to ensure the quality of expertise approved under this programme commensurates with the requirements of the country for the identified fields of expertise. Applicants are advised to refer to the guidelines (Revision: 1 July 2001) before submitting their application.

APs may be abolished, says Mukhriz
JOHOR BARU, April 26 – The government is looking at doing away with the system of Approved Permits for the import of vehicles, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Mukhriz said here today.
The latest rethink on the controversial permits may have been prompted by a request from the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Car Dealers and Credit Companies Association to open up the AP scheme to everyone, or set aside 30% for Bumiputras and sell the rest by open auction.
Mukhriz stressed that the main consideration of the review would be that “any levy or tax should benefit the Government, and cost savings, if any, should go to the people.”
While the ministry was giving high priority to finding a solution to the long-standing issue, abolition of APs was not the only option on the table as there were many other ways to solve the problems, Mukhriz told reporters after launching the Bumiputra Entrepreneurs Symposium held in conjunction with
