Ada analysts forecast RM akan terus mengukuh hingga 1 USD = RM 3.0 menjelang hujung tahun ni. Itu macam kalu kalau hantar QR 10k, cuma dapat RM 8.2k

Ada yg cakap simpan dulu jangan hantaq sekrg tapi ana tak setuju lah. Sampai bila mau tunggu.
Kalau RM jadi 2.8 tokey gula kena tutup kilang jual kain batik ooo

adakah RM yang mengukuh ataupun USD yang menyusut? ermm.. eitherway RM lagi tinggi dari QAR skrg..

QR riyal drop (in comparison to RM) due to the fact that the currency is peg to US dollar and resulted into we are losing when we send money back home. However, suggestion to take advantage of the situation would be.....but it needs the following prerequisite;
1. Have enough fund at home and kept in low return FD i.e <5% return
2. In possession of Malaysian bank credit card
3. FD in qatar (for muslim I suggest islamic)which I think can provide more than 5% return

Having the above, then in Qatar whatever you spend use the malaysian credit card,so kalau in 1 month you spend around QR3,000 you actually paying rm2,610 (13% save) so in 1 year you save/untung (RM390x12)rm4,680. Tapi kalau that RM3,000 tak keluar stuck kat FD in malaysia, 1 year return@ 5% will give you RM1,800(RM3,000x12 bulan x 5% annual return)only.
The QR3,000 yang tak belanja kat sini simpan FD to compensate the 'loss' for taking the money out from your Malaysia account. In Qatar yang mana give the best return (based on islamic principle and principal guarantee)I am still searching and kalau member 'terjumpa' please share.

words of caution, bila pakai credit card make sure full payment settle by end of the month or else the scenario based calculation will become slightly complicated.[img][/img]

ringgit appreciate a lot lately...usd pulak turun and at the same time qatar tak pulak re-peg duit dia. itu pasal ada sket sakit, hehe...

kalau terdesak tu hantar je duit balik. lost of RM500 out of 10k USD tu pejam mata je laa.

tak pernah terfikir pulak nk masuk FD sini. whats the rate? x pun masuk Doha Bank Al-Dana untung2 jadi jutawan tak pun beli emas lah...

ada org advise untuk bukak USD a/c d Malaysia. that way, bila transfer USD, it will maintain as USD in Mesia. Bila rate RM dah OK barulah transfer to RM a/c. at least you have control on the rate from USD to RM. (eg on USD 10k transfer, difference of 1 cent = RM100).

Pakai credit card Mesia sini ok jugak kot. but last time when I used my CC, forex rate dia somehow merugikan, quite significant jugak laa.

Masa cuti few month back, Rizi pakai HSBC Qatar nyer ATM kad di Msia.

and to my surprise, tgk bank statement... takdak pun charge "money/ wire transfer"...
does it goes the same with supplementary credit card? incase Rizi nak kasi kat parents Rizi utk guna?

yg kita akan bayar would be usage plus currency differences saja... right?

Guys, yesterday I was called by our top management and they told me that in the near future perhaps Qatar government as well as other Gulf country will unpeg their currecy againts US Dollar. My CEO want to make sure that all employee will get a fair salary in their favourable currency. So our CEO asked me to do some survey in the company to get feedback from all employee what currency of their salary they want. Here is the option:
a) Stay with Qatari Riyals
b) Paid with US Dollars
c) Paid with Euro
d) Paid with employee country of origin currency.
Once we make a choise then it cannot change until next year or next January. For exp. if your January 2010 salary is QAR 36000 and you choose to get paid in USD for equivalent of US$ 10,000 (depend on January currency) then you will receive US$ 10,000 flat every month no matter Qatari Riyals value against US Dollar vice verse..
Our top Management give me one week time for survey. Could you please give me the feedback by this week end whilst I'm collecting feedback internally? Thank you...

Pasal ada effect hantar duit bulan2 and sekali 3-4 bulan - memang ada effect kerana currency exchange yang fluctuating. So bila exchange tak bagus macam sekarang hantar sikit aje, bila exchange cantik sikit, balun cukup2. So to monitor the currency movement, i recommend this link;

kalau tengok graph year 2009, the best was during 2nd and masuk 3rd quarter, dapat more and hampir 1:1 -kalau hantar balik. This year it seems plateu on the high side. So keep monitor and best of luck.

Kadang2 cerita pasal duit and untung terpanggil surah ayat AL-HUMAZAH yang translationnya untuk 3 ayat pertama " kecelakaanlah bagi setiap pengumpat dan pencela yang MENGUMPULKAN HARTA DAN MENGHITUNG-HITUNGNYA DIA MENGIRA BAHAWA HARTANYA ITU DAPAT MENGEKALKANNYA..." So to be modest jangan sampai extreme would be better. Untuk renungan bersama.

Camne pulak hilang 'sejibik' LCD? Do you always 'peg' 1 QR = 1 RM ka? As per the trend, this rarely happens. Just compared the rate now dgn the last rate you transfer sudah laa or maybe just compare it with the monthly/yearly average. This will give you some comfort, or not?? hehe...

ATM card is effectively a Visa/Mastercard debit card. Tak pernah pakai jugak pun, so tatau laa nk ulas macam mana. But your idea of giving supplementary card for the parent is very noble, so teruskan aje laa regardless of forex

just remember that you will only lose, or gain when you made the transfer, not before. so kalau boleh hold on then why not wait. It's just that in the future RM may still go on appreciating, which is very likely and QR still pegged at 3.65/USD.

Ringgit has been on de-appreciating trend this week.
Today's closing is at its lowest since the last 30 days.

Mungkin turun lagi???

RM dan other regional currency follow China ccy tu yg appreciate. Untuk saya yg nak transfer duit ke Qatar bole la tuan2 kita buat barter trade je hehe.. save transaction cost dua2 pihak untung.

kalau TT sebelum pukul 12 tengahari waktu Qatar, insya-allah duit akan clear kat sana keesokan harinya. kalau tak salah kutu, keadaan ini cuma pada hari bekerja sahaja.

sepanjang pengalaman TT via QNB online to CIMB, kalau buat transaction malam ni, then lusa pagi dah clear kat CIMB. This is done during Qatar weekdays ie Ahad - Khamis.

That's the lowest RM has ever gone since March.
