Assalamualaikum,

Saya Abd Latib akan sampai di Doha on 18/6/2011. Attached with Parsons. Nak bantuan kawan2 semua, kat mana nak search accomodation?. How about driving licence?. I'm holding valid UAE and Omani driving licence, boleh convert ke Qatar driving license tak?

Kalau dah ada lesen GCC boleh apply lesen qatar terus tanpa perlu amik kelas/ujian.

Hi everyone.

My Intro:
Male Malaysian Chinese, PR in Singapore since 1990s..
44 years old, married and have 3 young kids.
Accepted a job with local bank in Qatar and will be arriving early July 2011.

Hope to get to know people from Malaysia and Singapore community here.

Looking for a secure apartment located near schools (pre-secondary level) and grocery / mall. Prefer locations with Malaysian and Singaporean community.

Will appreciate it greatly if someone could point me to a reliable real estate agent or introduce to your landlord if you are staying in a nice place.

saya baru join in forum ni...nak mintak advise sikit, itu pon kalau ada yg sudi...
hari tu saya ada apply kerja ngan QatarGas and Alhamdulillah lepas tele-i'view...
most likely 18th july ni kena gi Doha for face-to-face i'view...

hence, nak tanya sikit...berapa standard rate salary for analyst kat QG so that i won't undersell myself and other malaysians...plus senang sikit nak gauge during nego...

kerja dlm opis je ni, bukan field job...

currently my salary in KL approx. RM6K...
i am degree holder, keje ngan shipping co. kat malaysia with 4 years experience...

Mintak tlg share info eh...insya-Allah kalau ada rezeki, nak gak main bola kat padang pasir...

basic salary - expect anything from 11k to 15k kot, x pasti laa, bergantung pada job grade. on top of that, ada lagi elaun2 lain, which may bring your total take home pay to something around 20k.

main bola atas pasir? x pe, sini pun ada jugak padang rumput...

In 2008. Analyst kat QP dapat tak kurang dari QR16/mth basic salary. Saya tak pasti market sekarang. Anyway, hopefully the above amount would give you a rough idea to start negotiate.

Wah...kerja 4 tahun gaji dah RM 6k, banyak tu. When I was working in KL kerja 8 tahun baru dapat banyak tu.

For your interview in QG better if you can ask them in advance what Job Grade they're offering you, that will determine your Basic Salary besides your #of years of work experience.
For analyst posts in general Basic Salary should range between QR 15k to QR 30k per month..

nak lari topik sikit, most malaysia company dah start buat salary adjustment due to high employee turnover...tu yg agak sedap2 sikit kitaorg sekarang ni...tapi minus off daily expenditures yg juga agak tinggi, xde la sedap mana pon...

tapi niat nak gi qatar ni pon more on enriching experience & new exposure...tu pon kalo ada rezeki la...

So far tak pernah terserempak lagi malaysian ynag keje ngan QF atau Musheireb Prop. Setau saya, for senior role derang only employ local dan westerner saje....berlainan ngan Musheireb( or Dohaland?)comprise of multi nationals....

Company saya QP & QF JV...tapi under QP pay roll....QF is our client and Dohaland is one of our end users(but not for Musheireb Project)....itu basic info yang saya tau....what do u want know more?

Thank u Tanjong. I've accepted a job offer with Musheireb Prop (Dohaland). Bulan depan start keje (tak sempat nak raya kat msia...huhu Crying or Very sad

). So was wondering whether there were any msians attached to the company. At least senang skit kalau nak minta any advice or pointers. Have never been to Doha before except for the interview last May...tu pun for 2 nights only...so tak sempat nak ronda2.
