Diorg kena renew contract at least 2 or 3 mths sebelum habis contract. Ada gak kes2 yg x dpt renew contract so kena balik.. especially yg project basis.. ada gak yg permanent pun katoi gak sbb Qatarisation, post dah kena ganti dgn Qatari.. so dpt notis kena balik lar.. tp x byk lar maybe 1-2 kes ajer..

I am not sure about this guys but I was made to understand candidate from other nationalities e.g. from IN, they just got basic pay & nothing more. That means whatever allowance that resources from MY get, are just luxury to us.

Can someone confirm about this? I just spoke to one IN guy in Oman & he was puzzled when I mentioned about allowance & stuff. Later he told me what package they normally got.

saya pun mcm nak hold kejap medical check up ni..sebab offer masih sama mcm dulu..
tapi documents2 yg dorg minta blh je siap2 dulu..letter of good conduct pun ambik masa 2minggu nak siap..adda la masa lg nak nego dengan AP..apa2 kita tgk mcm mana AP handle Kahramaa ni..

AP tu just a 'postman'. Boleh ke nego dengan dia?

AP dapat komisen satu bulan gaji for each of you yg sign contract, so diorg memang nak sebanyak mungkin successful candidate. Good business? Oh yes...

yup betul AP tu cuma posmen hehe.. but since AP tu agency yg "makan atas angin", kita guna shj dorg untuk hantar kita punya choice of benefits kat dorg utk nego with kahramaa..it's up to them to nego or not..

at the end, the decision is in our hand..samada nak terima atau tidak ..

Those who are in KL, you can call Thinkplusmanpower (Office: 03-62804984 / 85 OR HP: 012-2165007). Tomorrow, they will have pre-screening interview for all O&G and Construction industry positions. Venue is to be confirmed by them tomorrow (either JW Marriott or Royale Chulan).

AP Recruitment, Thinkplusmanpower or any other MY-based recruitment agencies are basically acting in the interest of employers. Candidates can list down "wish-list" thru them but in reality, they will never bother.

Why? This is simple. For a position, this agency will have at least 1 prime candidate & few back up candidates. Let's say the basic pay offered for that position is USD 5K. If the prime candidate asks for negotiation, agency will quickly forward candidacy of back up candidates. To risk losing USD 5K as agency's income over to other agencies (whether in MY or overseas) is a big NO. Agencies will do everything to please the employers.

If I were to run this recruitment business, this is the standard business model I will have to adopt.

But bear in mind, depending on certain most critical positions, sometimes employer will entertain the negotiation. So, some candidates can be considered extremely lucky then.

InsyaAllah kalau ada rezeki saya kat sana, maybe lain kali.

Surat tu rasa nye kena sign dan hantar balik kan... memadai la kalau nk pi juga. Nanti kat sana memang Kahramaa akan bagi surat contract... geng kena expect la Kahramaa tu kan gomen... depa kije cara gomen la... santai-santai

Screening interview tu lebih byk kepada promosi kpd product company recruitment tu especially CV enhancement. Tapi Dr Nor owner recruitment company tu mmg gempak. Seorang perempuan Melayu yang berjaya convince many Middle East companies terutama from Saudi. Client dia lagi ramai Dari AP Recruitment.

Ada satu lagi Saudi company Akan dtg Malaysia utk conduct campaign interview maybe Nov month-end. Saudi cable ke or something like that.

AP dah bg email last week & bg detail counter offer dari kahrama. Kahramaa bg up 20% from previous offer tapi saya decline offer tu sebab dah dapat O&G company kat sini. so... lain kali la saya cuba lg kat sana.
