baru dapat QP offer, please comment..

Assalamualaikum, good day pada brothers n sisters semua..

Saya baru jumpa web ni lepas tecari2 maklumat pasal Qatar..
Recently dapat offer dari QP and previously ader gak offer dari QG.. Nak tanya brothers whether it is good offer and comparable to market rate atau tidak. Offernye:

Basic salary + Car allowance : QR21000 monthly
Housing + utilities will be provided by QP
Family package with schooling up to 4 children according to QP scheme
Airfare for family once a year
28 days holiday
Furniture allowance: QR60000
base posibbly di Mesaieed

about myself :
10 years experience in Inspection
got numbers of Professional Cert related to inspection
degree in Mech Eng.
previously keje di one of ME country for 3 years... contract dh abis..
keje kat m'sia ni normally bleh dpt dlm RM7-10k monthly average..

Mintak tolong brothers otai comment whether berbaloi ke idak dtg sana n whether this is the market rate for this kind of experience.

Make sure you get the offer in writing, including whatever they promised you.

bro....your offer looks good enough...but your circumstances will be different from everyone else...do your own calc if this is good for you...

do your own research before deciding...read the posts in this site...also look at www..qatarliving.com....you can find out a lot about qatar there...

dont decide before you speak to any malaysian working in QP...there are tons of them....im sure you know one or two..if not i can get you in touch with a friend in QP...

and also just try to negotiate your package....no harm asking...you never know...they might improve..i did that and was surprised with the result...don't undersell yrself...but don't ask too much though...nanti tunggu2 better offer...oil price dah jatuh below $30 next year...goodbye ler jawabnyer....hehe

W'salam. that's a good offer. kalau boleh, negotiate sikit lagi. kalau tak dapat, I suggest terima aje offer tu. considering global economic downturn, more that half slashes of crude oil price and the effect it will bring to Malaysian economy, it's better to accept the QP's offer.

kenchana3... is your job offer on a definite or indefinite contract?

bro zabedee.. dia offer permanent post.. keje sampai kita larat..
ari ni ade sampai offer carigali hess...interbiu 3 minggu lepas.. keje kat mesia.. offer nye menarik jugak.. cuma yg tak tahan kena bayo tax 27% .. tgh dok pertimbang..

kenchana, kalau dia dah offer permanent post tu, ambil aje la. lagi pun gaji tax-free dan kerja less stress. ada brother baru balik ke Malaysia beberapa bulan lepas selepas kerja hampir 10 tahun di sini, kerja dengan Hess, dia kata jauh lebih baik la kalau kerja di Qatar ni. tetapi dia terpaksa la balik, sebab dah lama sangat duduk sini dan anak2 pun dah besar2.

selain tu, boleh la berniat untuk mengerjakan umrah dan haji, insya-Allah. itu adalah antara kebaikan tinggal di bumi anbia ni.

CarigaliHess tu memang menarik (dari segi kewangan) tapi secara keseluruhannya, kualiti kehidupan (berkeluarga) kat sini lebih menarik kot.

Contoh Pertama:
Macam QP tu, masuk keje pukul 6.30am hingga 2.30pm. 3.00pm je dah sampai umah. Kerja kat KL, lepas Isyak pun belum tentu sampai umah lagi.

thanks for all the comment.. after serious consideration.. aku semalam pegi KLCC n accept offer HESS tu (after renego package).. so, 5hb Jan 09 ni aku kena la ari2 ulang alik ke KLCC tu....maybe 3-4 ari a month naik offshore.. nak kena carik sluar slack, kemeja n kasut ni.. sbb previously aku keje pakai jeans je..

cuba dulu sini.. kalau ok .. betahan le lama skit.. kalau cam tak bebaloi, awal le angkat kaki.. ade rezeki kita jumpa le di qatar

just a point to note. Qatar has a centralized system regarding a job offer to any expatriates. Kalau ada mana2 company yang dah offer to any potential candidates and that candidates turn down the offer, the next offer to the same candidate can only be made after 2 years.

Nanti kirim salam kat Tuan Haji Daud, Geographical Regional Adviser. Boleh tau lebih lanjut mengenai Qatar dari beliau. Insya-Allah, kalau ada rezeki, boleh datang ke sini selepas 2 tahun.

2) kalau di offer married status, tp wife xpegi, dikurgkan ker allowance sumer tu? or still married status nyer allowance?
3) another thing, leh x korg bgtau % saving korg every month of total package (including semua allowance) lps keje d qatar ni....nk compare dgn decide.. kalau ikut gj aku skrg, huuuhhh...<10%!! pakai wira je pun..bknnya BMW X6 ker...hahaha
4) wat org2 "bujang" tp dah berkhwin kat sana, ok ker?? berbaloi x dok jauh2 nie yer...

Ok la offer tu...kalau gi 2nd interview..negotiate Basic naik 10%..kerja kat sini..memang boleh buat savings...sini tak ada EPF atau Income Tax...prepare to save your own money upon retirement...

Single Status atau Married Status...U decide...tapi kalau ambil Married status..better bawa wife sini..sbb kita mesti buat perkara yang betul kat sini...kalau tak..salah faham ngan orang sini..dia hantar kita balik...
