Salam,

Dua hari lepas saya hantar duit ke Malaysia melalui Al-Sadd Exchange;

QR10,000.00 = RM8,935.85 (10.64% loss)

USD1.00 = QR3.645 = RM3.291

Rate sekarang ni lebih baik dari 2-3 bulan lepas sbb 3 bulan lepas saya hantar duit rugi 13%.

Very Happy So siapa2 ada better rates, share2 lah. TQ

Ada 2 kemungkinan : sama ada USD yg Naik atau RM yg Turun.

Kalau USD yg naik, no further question.

Kalau RM yg semakin lemah, kena tanya apa sebabnya ?

People have been buying USD and dumping RM for the past one week as there was political uncertainty in Permatang Pauh by-election.

Now that the Election Result is known, today you can see the RM exchange rate stabilised.

I would suspect the same market sentiment to reappear one week before the Tarikh Keramat 16 SEPTEMBER 2008.

However, there is one other important date to watch out within this period,
September 11.

We'll see what happen.

mungkin Al Zaman exchange better rate kot...pasal dia direct tranfer ke malaysia pakai account Standard Charterd...hari ada member check dia kasi rate 1.13

1. Buka akaun bank saving/current mcm kat mesia jugak ke?
2. transfer duit dr situ terus ke designated bank kite kat mesia ke?

Elok sblm dtg sini make sure your Malaysian bank account boleh pakai internet banking (online banking). Kalau Maybank make sure gak hp registered melalui ATM machine dan hp m'sia tu kena remain active (on roaming) bila kat sini utk menerima kod TAC utk certain transactions. Bila dah ada online banking senang sikit nak chk a/c bila transfer duit masuk dari sini.

Kat sini nak hantar duit terus ke A/C m'sia xder masalah. Charge QR40 ~ QR50 per transaction dan duit akan sampai 2 - 3 hari. Kalau pakai bank pun mudah (regardless saving or current a/c) sbb boleh buat secara online. Cuma bank rate kurang sikit berbanding Exchange Center. Dulu mula2 saya hantar thru my Commercial Bank current A/C tp bila dah dpt tahu pakai Exchange Center lagi untung saya terus hantar pakai Al-Sadd Exchange sampai lar skrg nih.

Maybe kwn2 lain boleh share pengalaman diorg based on other banks or exchange center di Doha nih..

Tq for the info silver, any suggestions on which would be better option to do this transaction?
I'm not sure how to begin with when i got the salary soon as i need to transfer some and apart from Maybank , for the same purpose , can we use an online of Public bank or cimb bank too?

rin.....setiap org ada preference sendiri nak transfer duit ke mesia...our ways of transferring money is via internet banking,bagi org yg malas keluaq rumah mcm kami...once u r here, u buat bank kat qatar..i used QNB..ada internet banking senang....pastu transfer online ke mesia duit...u will receive the money within 3 days or so lah...kitorang transfer from QNB stret to hsbc mesia...hsbc senang sebab guna portable security device (boleh bawak pi mana2 pun)...kalau maybank u need to maintain hp line mesia (sbb TAC)..

so..if u want to use maybank..make sure, u favourite kan all the transaction that u may want to use in qatar..such as favourite 3rd party interbank transfer, favourite bills....everythinglah u favoritekan..

the charges for QNB, i think is a bit expensive..they charge us QR50 per transaction plus additional approx USD 40-50 for USD3000...
