RasGas salary

Nak tanya pandangan sesama orang Malaysia di Qatar...just received an offer with Rasgas for 50k ++ Qatar riyal/month net, not including bonuses, housing and schooling, on a 3 year contract. Is this a reasonable offer, or better go elsewhere in the middle east? Heard that Qatar has a very high inflation rate, so taknaklah terima offer ni and then end up not making ends meet. Nanti nyesal lak and baik duduk Malaysia.

if 50k is yr salary only it should be ok. but again it depends how u manage yr money. what kill here is schooling for yr kids and accommodation. what u should consider is what is yr entry level. normal expenses normally u just times 2 from yr normal spending in malaysia.

what can i say u the temptation is cheap oil and cheap car... i.e. so many on the road u can see the model that rarely seen in malaysia.. Hummer..

but yr mental must be prepared. do a lot of reading/ survey abt middle east.

If i get 50k, in 3 years time i'll save my first million.

Wow! my salary's a whole lot smaller than that and I'm still comfortable & surviving. Go for it dude!

Yo Dude! If you get that Job in Ras Gas with that kinda salary per month and you not taking it, I will call you a stupid NUT! Period.

Normally you will stay at Ras Gas Community, in Al Khor about 25 km from Site. For that kinda salary you will get a Villa. Bangalow laaah tu. Schooling anak2 selalu nyer provided at the Community itself. Nearest noce place to do yr shopping is Doha, 30 mins drive away if you can beat all the speed cameras.

Hmmm..al khor community is full..not possible to get in unless you are attached with operations...like us, they put our name in waiting list, which will be in waiting list forever...susah betul nak masuk situ...

at last, we opt to stay in doha, closer to my hubby's off..even anak2 kena commute to al-khor soon (am still struggling to get the school in doha) & myself will be commuting to ras laffan soon...

anyway...take the offer & you wont regret!! see yar in rasgas!!

Yeah, what is the position and typical yrs of experience for that job !

Is QAR 50 k/month Basic Salary the highest pay ever offered to Malaysians in Qatar so far ? Or there are those getting paid more than that ?

Good that they have high regards on Malaysians....so Malaysians, don't sell cheap !

I think that QR50k is only nett, after including all the allowances.

50k/month as basic salary definitely don't make sense. Tapi kalau betul, good for you Liam (and Malaysia). Just goes to show that professional labour from our country are becoming more valuable than ever..
